United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to healthcare for Georgians, will present The United for Healthcare Summit, Saturday, May 14, 2022, both virtually and in-person at the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort at Stone Mountain. Sponsored by The Georgia Commission on Women, Black Women Leaders in Nursing and The Haitian American Nurses Association, the Summit is designed for nurses, advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), physician assistants, lab technicians, occupational and physical therapists and other healthcare professionals who want to learn new skills and hear presentations on the latest topics and legislative efforts affecting the medical profession in Georgia. There will also be content for healthcare students, including undergraduate and graduate students.
“This year, our conference theme is “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion”, said UAPRN of Georgia State President Michelle Nelson, Ph.D., RN, FNP-BC. “Because APRNs encompass diverse backgrounds, ages, genders, races and nationalities, it is crucial that we listen to and learn from different viewpoints and experiences. Members of the medical profession at all levels have been united this past year, perhaps as never before, as we face the sometimes overwhelming challenges of caring for our patients during the COVID crisis. UAPRN of Georgia is excited to bring our members together to share our experiences, learn from each other, consider differing perspectives and celebrate our accomplishments together. The Summit is designed for a statewide audience, and we expect our attendance to exceed 400.”
The event will feature both in-person and virtual presentations and workshops. The Saturday skills classes will be in-person only, and will include EKG Interpretation, Basic Suturing, Lab Interpretation, and Advance Suturing. Those who attend Saturday’s healthcare lectures can earn CEU (Continuing Education Units) credits. The vendor exhibit hall will offer opportunities for attendees to network with healthcare partners from across the state. All in-person attendees will have access to the virtual lectures following the Summit.

Saturday Night Gala
The Unity Gala is our signature event of the year. Gathering together to support the advancement of the APRN role by engaging in excellent programming and unparalleled fun.

Hotel and Area Information
Hotel Sleeping room – Click here to book your room at the conference rate of $149.00 + applicable state and local taxes (currently 16%) and $5.00 GA Hotel/Motel on the Marriott reservations system. You may also book a room by calling 888-236-2427. To receive the conference rate you MUST BOOK BY APRIL 1, 2022. After April 1, the conference rate of $149 will no longer be offered and rooms at the hotel will be sold at the hotel’s rate which is much higher than the conference rate.
The month of April has an extremely high volume of people wanting to visit the park because of the Spring weather, and beautiful grounds. Hotel rooms will go fast! BOOK BEFORE APRIL 1. (Hotel reservations are limited and are not guaranteed due to limited availability).
Directions to Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Center Resort:
Take I-75 or I-85 to I-285 East to Exit 39-B (Hwy. 78 East). Go approximately 7 miles following the signs to the Main Gate Entrance of Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park.
Your name, UAPRN Nurses Summit, will be on the gate’s “Complimentary Entrance” List to enter the park for the conference.
Take the 1st (immediate) left onto Stonewall Jackson Drive and follow for approximately 3.2 miles. Evergreen Conference Resort is the 2nd driveway on the right after crossing the bridge.

Registration Refund and Cancellation Policy:
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION: All cancellation notices must be submitted to uaprnexec@gmail.com email. Registrants may expect to receive refunds 4 to 6 weeks after the conclusion of the conference. A $75 cancellation fee will be assessed for all registration cancellations received on or before May 9th. Between April 9th and May 12th, a fee of 50% of the registration fee paid will be assessed. After May 12th, no cancellation refunds will be granted. Fees paid for optional tickets, guest tickets and workshops are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for any missed sessions or events including sessions missed due to travel delays. In the event of a workshop cancellation, UAPRN will reassign attendees to another workshop at an equal value or issue a refund. Under no circumstances are refunds issued on-site during the conference. Refunds are issued the same way payment was received (refunded to credit card or by check) unless you are notified otherwise.
NO-SHOWS: Refunds will not be granted for no-shows (registrants who do not attend the conference with no prior notice of cancellation).
Registration Refund and Cancellation Policy
As of 5/12/22 there are no further cancellation or refunds available. If you purchased your ticket without a coupon code then you will not be reimbursed the difference.
