Georgia Board of Medicine Delays Action on Proposed Telemedicine Rule

Posted over 11 years ago by Laura Searcy

Good News. The Composite Board of Medical Examiners did not take planned action today to adopt a proposed rule regulating telemedicine. This rule would have restricted access to care for patients and restricted the ability of APRN’s and PA’s to care for patients using telehealth means. The rule was referred back to committee and further action will not occur until January. Thank you to all who engaged on this issue. Watch for further updates in January.
