UAPRN Members,

I wanted to send this message out to encourage you to take three minutes of your personal time to send Ms. Liz Coyle (lcoyle@georgiawatch.org) and Ms. Beth Stephens (bstephens@georgiawatch.org a letter or email to say "thank you" for their organization's, Georgia Watch, recent publication that depicts APRNs in Georgia.

The article demonstrates to everyone our underutilization throughout the state. I have printed it out, am giving it to my patients, collaborative physicians, church family members, and will be giving it to my state legislators on my upcoming meeting with them.

This unbiased report reflects Georgia's leading independent consumer advocacy organization recent press release of its investigation on our state's failing grade on the APRN here in the state. Let's take this discouraging yet real, eye-opening report and turn it around by using it as a resource to unequivocally reinforce and substantiate our mission in seeking more autonomy and independence in our clinical practice to the lay and medical communities

The beauty of this report is that it was unsolicited by any nursing organization, yet packs a lot of power in credibility as we educate others!

Remember the proverb......"teach them and they will come"............using this independent tool as we speak out is a powerful effort to the change needed in Georgia !

Please print this attached report out and make use of it in your daily practices and in any group or meeting that you belong too and encourage everyone you come in contact with to communicate the message that "Change begins Now" to their respective state legislators. Only then can we ameliorate change!
