A Call to Action from your AANP State Representative

Posted almost 11 years ago by James F. Lawrence

This past Saturday at the CGAPRN conference held in Macon, Georgia, I finally met (face-to-face) our state representative to the American Asssociation of Nurse Practitioners, Ms. Janet Ross (janet.ross@hcahealthcare.com)

She has asked me to post the announcement requesting any member of UAPRN who is a Nurse Practitioner and interested in serving on the selection committee for AANP's state NP Award for Excellence and the state NP Advocate Award to please contact her.

In addition, she has reequested any Nurse Practitioner who currently serves on any professional boards or associations to please contact her with your information.

The state representative to AANP is a vital role in the leadership of our state. Having served in that role, Janet acts as one of the state's top NPs and leaders as well as serving as the liaison to national matters involving AANP.

If you have not made contact with her, I encourage our members to email her and introduce yourself and discuss matters of importance to you as a NP in Georgia. She is a wealth of knowledge and important resource to know!
