Jazz Pharmaceuticals has a web-based program that focuses on narcolepsy. The program contains cases in a format much like grand rounds. It is titled "Diagnostic Update and Treatment Optimization for Narcolepsy: A Live Online Educational Opportunity". This is a 1 hour CME/CE activity as a live webinar that includes interactive Q and A. Groups of attendees would be in their respective locations and would view the seminar together.
Each chapter would appoint a coordinator to facilitate the choice of meeting room, organize registration, collect pre and post quizzes (program is for credit). A $100 gift certificate would be available to each coordinator and a deli type buffet at no cost is provided. Ideally, a minimum of 8-10 individuals need to be at one location. This would seem like an ideal educational evening for an organization with multiple chapters. The attached flyer spells out the learning objectives for the activity and a brief description of how it works.
This is a wonderful opportunity for your chapter to do something different, have a meal together, interact, earn CEU credit, and learn something new.
