Way to Go UAPRN Members !!!

Last week, we had our first state-wide UAPRN conference call for 2014. The members who called in represented the highest number of individuals ever to call in for one of our conference calls since the organization has been in existance !! In addition, 9 of the 12 UAPRN Chapters were represented!

Furthermore, I was proud to report to all on the call that since I became your state president in January 2013, our state membership has increased by more than 80%!!!

Many, many individuals at the local and state levels as well as individuals from ENP are directly responsible for this success. Hence, I share this wonderful announcement with a plethora of persons.

As discussed on the conference call, there are many exciting things planned for the 2014 year. One will take place on Saturday October 25th, 2014 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. This will be a designated time that all members from around the state are invited to join us in participating as a group in volunteering at Project Open Hand in Atlanta, Georgia.

If you are unaware of this organization, I strongly encourage you to google it for more information. What I can promise you is that if you join us, you will have an incredible amount of fun as you get to know other UAPRN members from around the state while preparing meals that will be delivered at a later date to Georgians who may be receiving your packed up meal as the only nutritional meal that they will receive all week. This is why we do what we do- we are APRNs and we care !

If you are interested in joining me for this wonderful opportunity to show others what the very core of being an APRN is all about, please email me at jflaprn@gmail.com and let me know that you would like to attend. Over the years, I have been blessed so much more than those who receive these meals.

I hope to hear from many of you who are interested in joining in for this wonderful Saturday of giving back to Georgians who desperately need a warm, well-balanced nutritional meal.
