HEAR YE HEAR YE!! COME ONE, COME ALL!!!

I hope this annnouncement finds our members doing well. I am writing to each and every UAPRN member but specifically to the chapter officers.

The increasing difficulties that our student APRNs are exhibiting over securing clinical preceptors have greatly concerned me. I feel powerless over this situation so I knew the time had come to take action. This is why I need your help on this very important matter. UAPRN has formed its first SIG (special interest group) Committee, chaired by Ms. Julie Hannah. However, this national concern is larger than Julie and myself. This is why I humbly request your help on this mattter.

In seeking each chapter president or his/her designatee to participate in this SIG, I feel confident that a solution will be reached.  Won't you please help our organization, the body of nursing, and our student APRNs who deserve to have really great preceptors and mentors??

In offering the deserved attention of this topic with representation from all of our chapters as well as important indiividuals fromm the privvate sector and the academic community, our first SIG is destined to do great things! Hence, I am asking each UAPRN Chapter president to assign someone from his/her chapter to be a participate in this SIG . Please email Julia Hannan  at jhannah_np@yahoo.com  your contact information or the contact information of your designatee from your chapter no later than 5:00 pm February 17, 2014.  We can not come up with effective solutions for our organization without your help. Please, please, please. Now is the time to become involved !!
