On the Twelfth Day before Christmas My True Love (or at least my state President) had to Say:

A Wonderful Welcome of Dr. Michelle Nelson as our state Secretary today.

Dr. Nelson is a family nurse practitioner who has practiced in New York and Georgia and also currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Georgia State University (GSU) where she teaches in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.  She received her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in nursing theory and research from Emory University in 2008. Based on my observations and co-teaching experiences with her, I can personally attest to the fact that since joining faculty at GSU, she has transformed both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs into an even stronger and better program for our students.

Her intellect, compassion, humor, insight, and vast clinical experiences are impressive. However, her commitment and enthusiasm in which she teaches and undertakes any project are what most impressed me about her and led me to ask her if she would be interested in filling the vacancy of UAPRN state Secretary. Again, please join me in welcoming her to our state leadership team!!

Please access the state UAPRN of Georgia’s website everyday leading up to Christmas as your state officers will be sharing points of interests throughout the holiday season.  Please also see my attachment to familiarize yourself with Dr. Nelson's  picture.

Happy Holidays to all of our members and also to those who follow this website but have yet to join our great organization. Let us strive to make 2014 an even better years for UAPRN of Georgia !!!
