Our DNP students and partner, The Nurse Practitioner Journal, are looking for your input! Please see the following announcements:

Greetings UAPRN,

The purpose of the study is to perform a needs assessment by an anonymous survey to determine the attitudes, knowledge, and perceptions of using the teach-back method among advanced practice registered nurses who manage Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in primary care settings and evaluate their interest in using this evidence-based teaching method to improve health care outcomes. We invite you to join this study because you have been an advanced practice registered nurse for over six months, working with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in primary care settings. There will be no compensation for participation in this study. However, participation will add to the nursing body of knowledge.  https://gsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2tOPWSzMAgfUG5U

The combined results and information collected will be presented at the Georgia State University, Doctor of Nursing Practice Defense, in early Spring 2024.

Thank you for your interest. I appreciate your time.

Best,

Greetings!

We know that being a mental health nurse can be an incredibly rewarding profession, but it can also be emotionally and mentally taxing. That's why we are conducting a study on burnout and the use of mindfulness meditation to reduce burnout in mental health nursing professionals.

This research study is conducted through Georgia State University; the study will require your participation for 15 minutes every day for 14 days. Additionally, there will be two surveys that you need to complete, each taking approximately 10 minutes. By participating in our study, you will have the chance to learn and practice mindfulness techniques with a free app that can help you reduce stress, improve your job satisfaction, and increase your overall well-being. By taking part in this study, you'll not only be helping yourself, but you'll also be contributing to the larger body of research on mental health nursing burnout. Your participation can help us find effective strategies for managing burnout and improving mental health nursing professionals' overall quality of life.

If you're interested in participating, please click the link below to get started. We look forward to hearing from you soon. https://gsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_emuslXKSq6h8Dl4

Thank you for your dedication to the mental health profession.

Sincerely,

Last week, we launched a readership survey for The Nurse Practitioner to gain a better understanding of who our readers are, what they do, and how we can better serve them. The survey includes questions on our readers’ habits and thoughts as they relate to the journal and its content. You have a chance to be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card! It takes about 15 minutes to complete, and the link is provided below:
