Dear UAPRN members and followers,
We invite you to participate in a study aimed at enhancing the general psychological health and well-being of nurses by introducing an intervention to act as a protective effect against negative thought patterns. It is hypothesized that the use of a mindfulness-based intervention will result in decreased psychological distress (anxiety & depression) and improve professional quality of life (burnout). Please help us by completing this survey through the link below.
Study Purpose: To examine and improve psychological distress and professional quality of life of nurses who worked during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
To be partially eligible for participation, registered nurse (RN) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) must:
(1) worked in direct contact with patients presumed to have or diagnosed with COVID-19,
(2) an individual in clinical practice, at an acute care hospital between March and May 2020,
(3) an individual naive to the regular practice of mindfulness based mediation.
Confidentiality: All data will be kept confidential and will be anonymized. In the eligibility questionnaire, we will ask you to provide private and/or sensitive information that you might not want other people to know. We will ask for your initials, email address, current employer and any diagnosed mental health conditions. This information could be used to tell who you are. We will not use the information for any other research projects. We will not share the information with other researchers.
