Congratulations !

Congratulations  to our local and state officers who participated in an invitation-only leadership training the weekend of March 15, 2013 in Orlando, Florida.

Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) from UAPRN/AANP Region 11 (GA, AL, MS, FL) met to discuss issues affecting APRNs practice in these states. Southern states have the most restrictive practices in the country. Feedback I have received from some of these members stated how"inspiring, informative, and insightful" it was as well as another individual in attendance stated  it has "changed the way I approach my role as a nursing leader in Georgia."

Those four APRN leaders chosen to attend this year's conference were Linda Gay, Cecile Jones, Debi Gas, and Boni Cohen !

My apologies as this late entry should also include Laura Searcy from CAPRN and UAPRN and leaders from the Columbus UAPRN Chapter who to date have not been indentied to me. Please let's hear about your impressions of this very important meeting to generate more interests for next year!
