Are you an NP?

Posted over 5 years ago by Ashley Blackmon

Good evening everyone,

If you are a practicing NP then please help out our fellow DNP colleague with her project on measuring NP knowledge on hepatitis C treatment!

Dear UAPRN members,

Thank you to all the Advanced Practice Registered Nurses who have already completed the Hepatitis C research study. If you have yet to complete the questionnaires and educational intervention, please follow the directions below to access questionnaires.

Your input is very vital as it could improve Georgia APRNs knowledge of hepatitis C virus and ultimately decrease barriers to preventative care and treatment in patients who are infected with hepatitis C in an outpatient setting.

Please encourage your colleagues to participate. It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete the questionnaires and view the educational presentation. Your participation is voluntary and your responses are confidential. To learn more about the research study please review the original post below.

Sincerely,

Lekita Andrews FNP-C

Hello,

My name is Lekita Andrews, and I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice Student at Georgia State University. I am kindly requesting your participation in a doctoral research study I am conducting for completion of my DNP degree. The research study is titled: “Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Knowledge of Hepatitis C Virus Treatment Guidelines.” The purpose of this study is to assess whether an educational intervention will improve Georgia APRNs knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines and willingness to prescribe DAA for patients who are coinfected with HBV/HCV and at risk for HBV reactivation.

The study involves completing a pre-assessment questionnaire, an educational presentation, and a post-assessment questionnaire. Participation is completely voluntary and participants can withdraw at any time. Your responses to the questions will be kept confidential. Each interview will be assigned a number code to help ensure that personal identifiers are not revealed during the analysis and write up of findings.

There is no compensation for participating in this study. However, your participation will be a valuable addition to our research and findings could improve Georgia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse’s knowledge of hepatitis C virus and ultimately decrease barriers to preventive care and treatment in patients who are infected with HCV in an outpatient setting.

If you are willing to participate, please follow the instructions below. If you have any questions please do hesitate to email me at landrews16@student.gsu.edu
