Hi APRNs of Georgia,

Please help get our Nursing Bills Across the Finish LIne!

ACTION ITEM:

1. Flood Senate Rules Committee Members with CALLS and EMAILS:

The message is simple:

"Good morning, I am calling to ask that Senator XXX who serves on the Senate Rules Committee put HB 927 on the calendar for a vote on the Senate Floor. This bill would allow APRNs to do their jobs and order advanced imaging studies. Physician Assistants of GA do not have this restriction on their practice and APRNs in the other 49 states also don't have this barrier to practice. Thank you so much" (or something along those lines)

2. Call to Support HR 446

A study committee that also needs support:

Also House Representative William Boddie D62, introduced HR 446 Johnny Tolbert III House Study Committee which will investigate Heat-Related Injuries, Cardiac Injuries, and Other Sports-Related Injuries within school age children who participate in rec and school sports activities. Also Rep. Dar'shun Kendrick who presented at the GNA lobbying training, is a bill co-sponsor. Right now, Rep. Boddie is looking for people to contact Rep. John Meadows who is the chair of the HHS Rules Committee to get the bill out for a vote.
