Bootcamp Recap, & Sign up for APRN of the Day Jan - March Open! Be there!

Great turn out to day for our Legislative Bootcamp. Grateful to our APRNs that were able to get to the Capitol in spite of the frigid weather. Good thing Dr. Michelle Nelson was there to fire everyone up for what is shaping up to be a very important fast and furious session for us with Preceptor Tax Incentive Program legislation to get through the Senate (that would expand the PTIP eligibility to both APRN and PA preceptors), Full Practice Authority Legislation at the top of the list of Bills that APRNs of Georgia will need to come out in force to support and have their Legislators on speed dial! We will need APRNs at the Ropes in the AM and attending Senate and House HHS meetings and other Key Committee Meetings in afternoons throughout the session through APRN of the Day Program. Those who sign up can expect to get an email from Heather CQ Qualie our Legislative Liaison through Sign up Genius the weekend before their chosen day (Jan-March) with all important info on time, meeting locations, parking, cell phone number of our Lobbyist Julianna McConnell etc.). Note: If the GA Legislature cancels a day of session, emails could go out as late a the day before to notify you. Last year there were Days where we used the Sign up Genius email application to advise attendees to quickly report to Key Committee meetings where an APRN presence was needed that was not foreseen in advance.
