UAPRN Legislative Bootcamp

Happy Post Thanksgiving Holiday to ,the UAPRN Family,

The UAPRN Legislative Bootcamp in conjunction with CAPRN, GNA and GNLC will be held this upcoming Tuesday at the Georgia Capitol. This will be the first workshop in a series of Legislative Bootcamp events that we will schedule through the upcoming year. Legislative engagement should be an effort that we are emersed in year round to get and keep our voices heard. This is where we begin!!

The Legislative Bootcamp will have an exciting agenda of speakers inclusive of many of our current legislators and activities aimed at increasing our knowledge of the legislative process. There is much work to do as we look forward to APRN practice in Georgia that allows APRNs to practice at the highest levels of our education, training and certification.

Please bring your laptops or tablets and meet us at the Georgia Capitol on Tuesday November 29th from 9a-1p for an engaging and most informative workshop. The signup information is attached. Let us show ourselves, the medical community and the communities that we serve that we are pressing on towards a Healthy Georgia. Please RSVP and support. We can and will bring change!!

Walk to the Capitol and go up the steps entering the Capitol on the west side of the Capitol (across from the Central Presbyterian Church on Washington Street)

You will be entering the Capitol between the Governor’s office and the Secretary of State’s office on the 2nd floor

Go to the 3rd floor to Room 341

NOTE:

• You will be required to go through the Capitol Security as you enter the Capitol
• You will be required to show your driver’s license to enter the Capitol
• Wear comfortable shoes – you will be touring the Capitol
• Please bring a laptop, iPad, or other electronic device that you could use to connect 

PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE CAPITOL AROUND 8:30 TO REGISTER AND BE READY TO BEGIN OUR LEGISLATIVE BOOT CAMP BY 9:00!
