Best wishes to you Dr. Lawrence.
Welcome Dr. Nelson, from one of your former students at GSU. You are phenomenal and will continue to be so in whichever capacity you have been placed.
Congratulations, Dr. Nelson! I am so excited about the potential for positive changes within our organization as you accept this huge undertaking. Thank you! Please let us know how we can help :-)
Congratulations Dr. Nelson. I look forward to the positive changes that you bring to our organization.
Welcome Dr. Nelson. Look forward to getting to know you and working with you on the issues facing GA APNs!
Thank you for Answering the call for acting president Dr. Nelson. I feel you will dominate and push the agenda that is best for APRN's. I also want to thank Dr. Lawrence for his leadership and direction. GO APRN's!!!!!!!!!!! Mike Wiggins FNP-C
I am so thankful to James Lawrence for his guidance and support of the Gwinnett/Forsyth Chapter of UAPRN. He has been committed to keeping our chapter alive and operational since I became president in 2013. We grew from 23 members to over 120 members. Prior to his Presidency-our chapter had not received any state dues funding for approximately 2 years. When he assumed the role as President- we have consistently received our portion of the membership dues.
I recall attending a meeting in Cobb County where he was dedicated to inspiring a new leadership team to step up to the plate and help one of our former chapter presidents who needed to step down from her position. This was done to inspire a dissolving chapter- which was the climate he inherited. At that meeting... a new leader began her journey.
Having attended several recognition ceremonies at various chapters across the state with him- and participating in a radio talk show promoting NP's- his heart is dedicated to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses in Georgia.
I am personally thankful for any colleague who wants to foster a climate of positive growth and unity in message. Our organization is not self-serving... but community serving... offering Georgia residents access to quality health care.
I hope that James, as a founding member of UAPRN, will continue on as an advisor/emeritus to our state chapter.
May we all see the value in being a part of the solution to the crisis in healthcare... rather than another disgruntled/divided profession. If we are capable of judging.... we need to be accountable to not just "complain/suggest" a better way- but make it happen---- what is your personal investment of time and sweat equity to make this organization stronger?
I am in support of Dr. Nelson- but she cannot do this alone....I welcome any comments to foster an ongoing positive dialogue.. Dana 678-458-0977
