United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia will hold a press conference on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the Georgia State Capitol.
The press conference will be an acknowledgment, and celebration of nursing. Nursing had been named the most trusted profession for the 18th year in a row. The year 2020 has also been named the global year of the nurse and the midwife. The group also looks to shed light on all legislation nurses are supporting this legislative session inclusive of HB409, SB109 and SB321.
Topics also in discussion at the March 5th press conference will be the maternal mortality rate in Georgia, sex trafficking, and the opioid crisis. Nursing awards will also be presented along with a Q&A session.
