The purpose of the PAC committee is to provide an opportunity for persons interested in the welfare and future of advanced practice registered nurses.

Organizations are prohibited from making contributions or expenditures in connection with elections, however such organizations are permitted to set up Political Action Committees and make contributions to and expenditures on behalf of candidates. Money contributed to a PAC is placed in a separate bank account from the general organization treasury.
The PAC is registered with the Federal Election Commission and must follow the rules of that commission when accepting and distributing donations to the PAC.
Contributions to a PAC are not tax deductible. The money of the PAC will be used to support candidates who support advanced practice nurses.
